Arita ware is world-renowned for its impeccable, white porcelain. The white porcelain clay is highly concentrated with kaolin powder, which requires high temperature firing. During the 17th century, Kakiemon had developed the legendary "aka-e" or red color to decorate Arita porcelain, after studying techniques in China. Kakiemon had left a lasting aesthetic impression on the ceramic industry. Since the Arita style first caught the attention of the European aristocracy, these porcelain pieces have gained global recognition for its perfection and beauty.
